Course Outline

Description

The Bigger, Stronger, Wiser, Kind (BSWK) Facilitator course will support you to deepen your delivery of the Circle of Security Parenting (COSP) program. Move beyond content delivery and develop advanced facilitation skills with a focus on process. BSWK training strengthens your ability to Be With caregivers in their learning journey, helping them reflect, regulate, and engage more deeply with the COSP model. Explore complex relational dynamics in facilitation and your own strengths and struggles in this work.

If you've attended the COSP facilitator training, you were offered an introduction to Circle of Security Parenting (COSP) that included instruction on how to follow a manualized video-based program. Knowing how to use both the facilitator manual and the video together ensures fidelity to the content delivery of the program. But as a facilitator, it's necessary to adhere to fidelity in both content and process. In this course, we'll focus on process fidelity as we follow the Path to Secure Hands, starting with the BSWK Facilitator.

Course Outline

Registered COSP Facilitators who want to expand their capacity beyond the introductory training. We strongly recommend that you get some practice with the COSP materials before you take this course. Your learning in the BSWK Facilitator course will be enriched if you are able to bring your own experiences with facilitation, since much of this course deepens your learning by inviting reflections on your previous facilitation of COSP.

Participants should have prior hands-on experience with COSP, such as:
