Summary

Kate Addison currently works as a Services Coordinator in the Ralston Public School district, where she serves families of children birth to 3 with special healthcare or developmental needs. Kate has been in the field of family support for over 20 years. Her experience includes direct care for individuals of all ages with medical, behavioral, or developmental challenges. In addition to direct care services, Kate has worked in a Level III classroom, developed and taught curriculum in a toddler classroom, and provided coordination services to hundreds of families across the state.

Kate is currently a registered facilitator for both the parent and the classroom models.

Kate has a Masters degree in Child, Youth, and Family Studies from UNL, with additional graduate studies in the areas of Early Childhood Special Education and Social Work. She is uniquely aable to offer the COS-P program that meets the needs of diverse families. Kate has extensive knowledge of serving families that are at-risk, living in poverty, involved in state systems of care, or parenting children with special needs. In addition to her roles as a service coordinator and COS-P facilitator, Kate is a mom to 3 children ages 12, 15, and 20. She has been through the “terrible twos,” the “threenage” years, difficult adolescent periods, and the transition to adulthood. Kate can help tailor the COS-P program to meet the needs of your families, whatever challenges they may be facing! She firmly believes that every parent can grow their relationships and parenting skills by being “Bigger, Stronger, Wiser, and Kind.
