Selma Bacevac, MA, LMHC


Selma is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with the state of Florida. She holds a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Argosy University. After completing her graduate work, she continued her education by receiving additional training and certification in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), Child - Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), Circle of Security Parenting (COS), and is an adoptions competent certified counselor. In addition, Selma has received the prestigious title of an Infant Mental Health Specialist through the Harris Institute at the Florida State University. She belongs to the esteemed American Mental Health Counseling Association and currently serves on the board of the Northeast Florida Mental Health Counselors association.\n\n \n\nWith a decade of experience she specializes in working with children who have survived traumatic events which impact their daily life, school, and relationships with their family and friends. She utilizes an attachment approach to her treatment of children and their families, which consists of working with parents very closely for best treatment results. Additionally, Selma is available to provide trainings on topics of trauma, anxiety, parenting, attachment and infant/toddler mental health.\n\n \n\nSelma is happily married and during her free time she enjoys a really good book, spending time with family, and going to the beach.
